The secret to keeping your fine furniture in tip-top shape for a long time is to regularly perform some simple care.
Below are some easy things you can do to ensure that your arflex furniture will continue providing you with comfort and pleasure for years to come.

home care

  • tip #1:wipe

    Gently wipe your furniture to remove dust so that grime will be less likely to stick. Dust can also trigger allergies and attract mold and mites, so be sure to wipe it away.

  • tip #2:fluff

    By gently beating your cushions every day, you can fluff them up so that they retain their plush feel and beautiful forms.
    And, occasionally remove the covers for dry-cleaning or replace them if needed—spotless covers can greatly enhance the comfort you feel from your sofas and chairs.

  • tip #3:tighten

    From time to time, check your furniture for loose joints in tabletops, legs, shelves, frames and so on, and retighten them as needed. This will help keep your furniture functioning properly and extend its life.

  • covers

    New covers can be purchased for products that feature covering systems designed to be replaceable by the customer. Since we keep the patterns for covers of discontinued furniture, we can also supply spare covers for products no longer available. Please note that cotton, urethane, and other cushioning materials tend to shrink or soften over time, so replacement covers can sometimes seem a little oversized, even though the size is the same as the original. Feel free to contact us for information on cushioning replacement/repair.

  • upholstery

    Products without removable covering systems can be sent to our factory for reupholstering. At that time, we can also restore cotton, urethane, and other cushioning materials that have shrunk or softened with time.

  • repair

    If your furniture becomes damaged or faulty, contact us to discuss options for repair. If parts covered by the 10-year warranty fail during the warranty period due to a defect, we will repair or replace the part free of charge.

cleaning

Please follow the cover cleaning instructions provided with your product. If dry-cleaning is indicated, be sure to have the cover professionally dry-cleaned by a professional. If you wish, we can put you in touch with one of our partner dry-cleaning businesses. We can also answer all sorts of questions about dry-cleaning, so contact our customer service team for assistance.

examples of after-sales service

example 1: A・SOFA

Here’s how we repaired a 15-year-old A・SOFA (launched in 1986) that had damage to the seat, seatback and arm cushions:

  • ・Reupholstering of the base with F2 fabric
  • ・Replacement of the seat, seatback and arm cushions
  • ・Replacement of cushion covers with F2 fabric
  • Total maintenance fee: ¥343,000

example 2: MARENCO

The seat, seatback and arm cushions of this MARENCO (launched in 1971) had become worn with more than 30 years of use, so we fixed it up:

  • ・Replacement of cushioning material in seat, seatback and arms: ¥149,000
  • ・Replacement of cover with F2 fabric: ¥60,000

example 3: NT

Following more than 20 years of use, this NT’s (launched in 1977) wooden frame was still going strong, but the leather tape weaving had become damaged, so we replaced the leather while retaining the original frame:

  • ・Reupholstering of leather tape: ¥82,000
  • ● The costs listed above are the basic pre-tax maintenance fees.
  • ● Additional maintenance fees may be required depending on the product’s condition.
